Sometimes you find it hard to let go.. to say farewell... and yet.. as time passes by you don't know when.. you already let go.. what remains is just an illusion of holding on.. and then even that is lost...
Time indeed, heals all!
And yet, at other times, some snatches of tunes, some words, some look.. someone who looks similar.. pass through .. and you suddenly feel that searing pain.. it pierces you so bad.. You don't know what to do with it.. it is just there. You just bear it.. smile through it is more likely..
People don't understand.. the more the time passes.. more memories fade.. and with tht much force it comes right back.. Staggering is the right word for it..
One is totally knocked out coz of it.. and then all you can do is.. just be helpless.. for your eyes remain dry.. your smile intact.. and yet the heart bleeds..
Ah.. this is not the first time I wrote about this.. here's the old one... [ Click on the clock]
Time to return compliment...you first commented on my blog saying how my post resonated with what you have experienced...well this is..what can I say...you know very well :)
You mentioned about keeping vigil...I stopped doing that knowing how futile it is...and especially it exposes you to the threat of a renewed attack with incredible force.
I read the earlier post too (thru that link) and both are written beautifully.
"eyes remain dry.. your smile intact.. and yet the heart bleeds.." how true, how painful
Looks like something or someone hurt u badly.
For me its usually "Out of sight, out of mind". But yes sometimes a familiar situation or object brings memeories back but it doesnt hurt but maybe the feeling like helplessness or shame associated with it comes back to haunt:-(
yup - time is a healer; and memories fade...
some times memories don't fade if we don't want them to fade...
one plausible explanation to this phenomenon you experienced ! i guess
:)

"People don't understand.. the more the time passes.. more memories fade.. and with tht much force it comes right back.. Staggering is the right word for it."
I guess it depends on how one really deals with the pain, if one tries to experience the emotion fully the there are chances that he/she will not get hit that much with the memories.
@rambler.. It depends on whose memory it is na ?
Nuffin much to say about it.
